Evolving Materials and New Challenges

Processing technologies are constantly evolving, and so are the materials being processed. Processors now have more opportunities and challenges using alternative functional ingredients, like transforming plants into plastics or high-protein ingredients and nuts into milk.

These new feedstock options often require innovative approaches to scale up production and must process the materials, including heating, cooling, drying, reacting, and devolatizing, to meet specific product requirements.
