Project Manager

Title: Project Manager

Department: Engineering

Salary Range: $85,000-95,000

Manage and document process systems and proprietary equipment to meet customer requirements and delivery schedule. Works closely with all other areas of the business and gives direction as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact for customers on equipment and system orders.
  • Monitor progress of open jobs to ensure deliveries are on time and maintain and communicate current schedules to management and internal/external customers.
  • Communicate project information as required to stakeholders via phone, email, teleconference, and meeting.
  • Confirm proprietary and system equipment design meets customer requirements and specifications.
  • Coordinate, review, direct and prepare documentation and manufacturing data to meet project requirements.
  • Manage project regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, OSHA, ASME, NFPA and EU Directives.
  • Involved in contract reviews to look for discrepancies and prepare for order entry.
  • Perform order entry and manage changes to contracts and orders as required.
  • Review auxiliary equipment quotations against project requirements and request revised quotations as necessary.
  • Prepare requisitions of vendor auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor and expedite delivery of purchased equipment.                    
  • Perform job reviews after releases have been completed.
  • Participate in safety reviews and hazard analyses of equipment as directed.
  • Perform or participate in equipment inspections when required.
  • Prepare and document auxiliary equipment for shipment to customer.
  • Perform After Action Reviews on closed projects as required.
  • Takes the lead in resolving field issues on auxiliary equipment as directed.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or related field.

Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing field desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; capacity to manage priorities and expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders: internal and external customers, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm, polite, and professional in high-pressure situations and reprioritize duties as needed.

Maintenance Mechanic

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic where your skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities while providing opportunities for professional growth and development!

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for equipment maintenance which includes the safe and functional operation of all Process Development Center equipment. Fabricate new equipment or modify existing equipment for setups and safety. Support both the Process Development Center and all facility maintenance when required. Work with the FMX software to track inventory, perform work requests, and form preventative maintenance to all equipment. This position has the potential to be customer facing, so good communication and mechanical knowledge will be helpful.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all types of equipment and auxiliaries required. Operate all types of machine shop equipment including but not limited to mills, lathes, brakes, cut-off saws, TIG, MIG, and arc welding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and problem solve machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
  • Establish planned maintenance schedules for Process Development Center equipment.
  • Provide facility maintenance including the areas of boilers, heating, HVAC, alarm systems, restrooms, kitchens, plumbing, power, exterior buildings and grounds.
  • Maintain records of purchased parts, repairs, and stocking spares to all Bepex equipment as well as required maintenance logs and files.
  • Create Preventative Maintenance using FMX on all building and operational equipment to include scheduled work on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual time basis.
  • Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
  • Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
  • Assembly of parts for customer sales or Process Development use.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical maintenance or a minimum of 5 years comparable experience in a relatable field preferred.
  • State of MN High Pressure Boiler Engineer License (or willing to obtain)

Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in relatable maintenance/mechanic/service position.
  • Experience in mechanical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, fabrication and a strong knowledge of electrical repair is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; capacity to manage priorities and expectations.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) and CMMS computer maintenance management systems, (FMX).
  • Experience working with internal and external customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Good communication skills including both written & verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Any experience with industrial processes is helpful but not required.

Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the shipping and receiving of sales orders, supplies, materials and related items. Shipping and receiving of hazardous materials is required.
  • Load and unload trucks at the Warehouse and the Process Development Center.
  • Develop and maintain transportation plans to maximize delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule external logistics with freight companies, vendors, and customers via phone and email.
  • Maintain a 99% shipping accuracy.
  • Process all sales orders through the ERP 10 (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • Interact with freight vendors and the Accounts Payable Department regarding billing discrepancies.
  • Assist inaccurate receiving, inspection, quality documentation and transactions as required.
  • Develop and maintain export packing plans that are within budget and meet custom erexpectations.
  • Assist in the labeling and maintaining of the Process Development Center basement storage of incoming and outgoing test materials, and stocking of supplies needed for shipping and receiving.
  • Assist in the shipping and receiving functions within the Process Development Center.
  • Report damaged goods and material shortage to the Warehouse Manager, Process Development Manager or Process Development Engineers.
  • Assist in the material handling responsibilities within the Process Development Center.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing scheduled ship dates.
  • Prepare export documents for international shipments such as: Commercial Invoice, COO, etc.
  • Custom build crates to fit machines and parts.
  • Pack parts and machines for shipping using appropriate packaging such as: crates, boxes, etc.
  • Manage and order shipping supplies such as: lumber, boxes, packing material, etc.
  • Log and scan files for both shipping and receiving activities into the database and network daily.
  • Schedule transfers of parts and equipment to and from the Warehouse as needed.
  • Deliver small packages to the designated recipients.
  • Maintain clean shipping and receiving areas, and personal workstation.
  • Minimal supervision and work direction.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

  • Sit occasionally, stand, and walk frequently.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel and squat frequently.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. frequently; over 60 lbs. occasionally.
  • Work in extreme heat and cold occasionally.
  • Work performed in the Warehouse and the Process Development Center.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification preferred. Training is available.

Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience shipping and receiving required.
  • DOT hazardous shipping/receiving certification required. Training is available.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
