THERMAL PROCESSING / DRYING / COOLING

Our capabilities go beyond simply supplying a single thermal processor or dryer. Our experience in total system design for food, chemical and polymer processing has also led us into specifying and supplying auxiliary equipment, instrumentation and controls.

Through our modeling programs for thermal processing we can select and accurately scale-up single or multi-stage drying systems using historical data or bench scale analysis. We can also test the feasibility of industrial processes in our state-of-the-art Technical Center providing custom development for a new thermal process or improving an existing one. We can provide custom processing for market samples or short-term production demands.

In short, whether your thermal processing needs are drying, heating, cooling or reacting; Bepex International has the thermal processing systems knowledge and broad product line to meet those needs.

Indirect dryers supply thermal energy by conductive heat transfer across metal surface areas in contact with the product. Evaporation, through this process of indirect drying, occurs in a non-adiabatic mode, with evaporation occurring at the boiling point. Bepex International indirect dryers include the Solidaire®, the TorusDisc®, the Thermascrew® and the Continuator® Direct contact dryers provide the thermal energy required for moisture evaporation by direct contact of a heated gas stream with the product to be dried. Evaporation, through this process of direct drying occurs in an adiabatic process with the particle temperature following the wet bulb temperature of the heated inlet gas stream, as long as the surface of the particle is wetted. Bepex International direct dryers include the Fluid Bed, Purge Vessel and the Drymeister. Radiant dryers incorporate multiple high-output infrared heaters in the top of an enclosed process vessel. Infrared thermal heaters allow higher operating temperatures than other indirect dryers. The radiant drying system can also eliminate the need for steam boilers, oil heaters or other thermal heating devices. Compact, flexible and powerful, these heaters can be incorporated into existing equipment to increase capacity.
